Valletta arrive in Finland after long journey

The contingent of Valletta FC arrived safe and sound in Finland, where they will participate in Group F preliminary round of the UEFA Futsal Cup.
After meeting at the Malta International Airport on Sunday, the contingent boarded a plane to Riga before taking another flight to Helsinki.
Consequently, they had to endure a logistical headache to make their way to Ylivieska to prepare well for their commitments in this tournament.
After this energy-sapping journey, the players performed the normal check-in at their hotel to take their well-deserved rest.
This morning all the contingent had their first taste of the town as they eventually visited the Ylivieska Ice Arena, the venue of the tournament.

At the time of writing, workers are intensifying their task to prepare the arena by installing parquet flooring.
As captain Xavier Saliba witnessed, the atmosphere among the Citizens is great.
“We are united together as a group. We are enjoying this experience and we want to do well in this tournament.”
Saliba acknowledged that the journey to arrive to Ylivieska was tiring.
“We had a long voyage to arrive here. All the players were dead-tired but we slept well.”
“This morning we had a good breakfast and now we are gathering all our energies to prepare for this afternoon’s training session.”
Valletta are having their first training session at the arena at 6pm under the guidance of their coach Clayton Felice.
They will make their official debut tomorrow at 6pm against Finnish hosts Sievi FC.
