Gzira maintained their perfect patch in the FXDD First Division league after beating Mqabba with a 6-3 scoreline. This result enabled Gzira to lead the First Division standings with 12 points after winning the first four matches. For Mqabba this was their third defeat of the season.

On the other hand, Zebbug dominated and had the better of neighbours Siggiewi after an 8-2 result. This victory helped Zebbug reach Msida in the third position with nine points after four games.

In another highly contested match, Qrendi defeated Sirens 4-3. This win  moved Qrendi into the second place of the table and continued to keep the pressure on leaders Gzira.
