Balzan continued to march forward and gained their second consecutive win after beating Pembroke Athleta 8-2. The former team dominated the match and made their intentions clear from the very start. Clint Cope scored a hat-trick with other goals coming from player/coach Gabriel Dobre, Emil Raducu, Nicola del Re, Glenn Bonello and Jovica Milijic. Christopher Azzopardi and Bryan Deguara scored for Pembroke.

With this win Balzan have reached Qormi and Hibernians on top of the table with 6 points after two matches.

In the other match played at the Corradino Sports Complex, Hamrun Spartans gained their first three points of the campaign after having the better of Melita with a 10-4 scoreline. Steve Gambin, Martin Guardia Antonio and Cuadros Silva Christian scored a hat-trick each and Gabriel Galea made them ten for the Spartans.

Melita reduced the arrears with goals scored by Micheal Martin (2 goals), Bojan Minic and Nikola Detrovic. For the latter team this was the first defeat of the season.
