Balzan consolidate their third place in the premiership in an incandescent encounter against Valletta.

Valletta were aiming to grab three points and reach Balzan.

Carl Azzopardi broke the deadlock for Balzan and minutes later Denis Di Maio levelled the matters for Valletta.

In the last minute of the first half, both teams scored in a very short period of time.

Valletta doubled the score through captain Xavier Saliba and player coach Boicho Marev mad it 2-2.

In the first minute of the second half, Boicho Marev again put Balzan ahead.

Glenn Bonello also found the net and made it 4-2.

Valletta’s reaction came  as Alan Borg put also his name on the scoreline for the Citizens.

In the end Balzan proved to be the better side and scored twice more through Frane Despotovic and Marco Conti.
